Lapmaster Silicon Carbide loose abrasive powder is available in a wide range of grit sizes, both as a Green Silcon Carbide and a Black Silicon Carbide.
Silicon carbide abrasives are available in 1kg, 5kg and 25kg containers.

 

Green Silicon Carbide Abrasive Powder

 

Lapmaster Green Silicon Carbide abrasive is produced by the chemical inter-reaction of Silica, a very pure glass and carbon made from finely ground petroleum coke. These ingredients are heated in electric furnaces to temperatures in excess of 2000 degrees Centigrade. After being allowed to cool it is broken down by a series of reducing processes until the grades required are obtained. the colour of this range of Silicon carbide is either light or dark green.
